The Purpose of the Bulldog IT & EdTech Support (BITES) Services Dept.

The Department of Campus & 1:1 Technologies aims to provide an array of technology resources for faculty and staff to enhance the learning environment, facilitate resource sharing, and promote communication.  This department works closely with the faculty, staff, and campus administration of George C. Marshall Middle School and Beaumont ISD's Information Services & Technology team.

This department is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • the resetting of user credentials (password resets)

  • distribution & upkeep of Chromebooks & Chrometablets

  • maintaining the upkeep of district laptops, desktop computers, Newline panels, projectors, networked multi-function printers, IP phones, local printers, and other technology equipment

  • providing training and tutorials to faculty and staff when implementing new hardware and software

Cedric Stoner

Cedric L. Stoner

Cedric Stoner has proudly served as the Campus Technology Liaison at Marshall Middle School since the 2021–2022 school year. His journey in Beaumont ISD began in November 2013 as a substitute paraprofessional, primarily at Caldwood Elementary. In 2014, he was hired as a Special Education paraprofessional in the Academics for Life program at Marshall Middle School.

While working in this role, Mr. Stoner pursued his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree at Lamar University, graduating in December 2019. He also earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Networking and Troubleshooting Technology from Lamar Institute of Technology in May 2012. He continued serving as a paraprofessional through the end of the 2020–2021 school year before being hired as a Technology Applications teacher for the 2021–2022 school year. At that time, he was also appointed as the Campus Technology Liaison and 1:1 Technology Coordinator.

Mr. Stoner holds several technology-related certifications, including the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification and the Google IT Support Professional Certificate. Most recently, he earned his Campus Technology Specialist Certification through TCEA in December 2024.

Mr. Stoner collaborates closely with both the Information Services & Technology and Instructional Technology departments of Beaumont ISD to support and enhance the campus's digital learning environment.
